Elena Ivanenko

Elena Ivanenko is one of the founders and administrator of the philosophical web-project ‘Philosophical Samara’ (www.phil63.ru), which was launched in 2007 to foster the development of and dialogue within the local philosophical community of Samara. Since 2012 she has been leading a web-research project on new media technology and the internet, ‘Philosophy on the web’ (www.filosofiavseti.ru). Since 2005 she has worked as a researcher on media-philosophy (in collaboration with Marina Koretskaya and Elena Savenkova). Her research on media has appeared in a number of publications, including the bookThe Constellation of Gorgony: Essay on the Effects of Media (co-edited with Marina Koretskaya and Elena Savenkova, Sankt Petersburg: Aleteya, 2012). Her primary academic interest lies in European media theories and new media technologies with an emphasis on visual aspects of media communication.
