Marina Koretskaya

Marina Koretskaya is Associate Professor and Chair of the Philosophy Department of Samara Academy of Humanities. Her PhD, which was completed in 2007, focused on the comparison of ontological aspects of the philosophy of Heidegger and Deleuze. She lectures on post-structuralism and media-philosophy at Samara Academy of Humanities. Her research interests include media-philosophy, especially the ontological aspects of media reality and anthropological transformation under the influence of the media environment. Since 2007 she regularly has taken part in conferences organised by the Centre for Mediaphilosophy in St. Petersburg. Her research has been published in a number of articles as well as in the book The Constellation of Gorgony: Essay on the Effects of Media (co-edited with Marina Koretskaya and Elena Savenkova, Sankt Petersburg: Aleteya, 2012).
