Françoise Daucé

Françoise Daucé is professor at the School of Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences (EHESS, Paris, France) and director of the Centre for Russian, Caucasian and Central European Studies (CERCEC, Paris, France). Her research in political sociology focuses on the transformations of criticism and compromise in civil society and in the public sphere in contemporary Russia. She is the coordinator of the collective project ResisTIC (“Resistance on the Internet: Criticism and Circumvention of the Digital Borders in Russia”). She is the author of Une paradoxale oppression: L’Etat et les associations en Russie (CNRS Editions, 2013) and La Russie postsoviétique (La Découverte, 2008 and 2019). She is also the author of numerous articles on civil society and media in post-Soviet Russia in academic journals.
