This special issue of Digital Icons was guest-edited by Adi Kuntsman (University of Manchester). On 22 November 2010, she came to the University of Leeds to launch the issue as well as to give a lecture on her own research. Adi focused on mediation of the Israel-Palestine conflict in Russian speaking blogosphere, looking specifically at the blog of drugoi (Roustem Adagamov; {https://drugoi.livejournal.com/}). She examined the role of images that the blogger recycles from other sources in his blog in commemoration of the previous military conflict.
